In 2003 pianist Alano Gruarin and accordionist Gwen Cresens meet during a residence in Berlin. Both accompanying Filip Jordens’ Hommage à Brel together with Jean Corti, Jacques Brel’s loyal accordion player.

Throughout the years, Alano and Gwen keep on playing together in Orquesta Tanguedia, Kommil Foo and many other projects. They invite one another to shine on their respective solo albums (Profondo Blu 2009, Concertos 2018).

It was written in the stars that their musical connection would eventually result in an original duo. Together they look back at a common repertoire of 20 years of music, discovering new horizons. Always with an open mind.

Alano plays, for the first time in his life, the legendary Hammond organ, mixing excellently with the sound of Gwen’s accordion. Like two orchestras coming together. In line with good Cresens-Gruarin tradition, the music meanders throughout all corners of the world to come home into the capable hands of these two classy gentlemen. Tigra & Fortuna.
